About TOSS

Built by youth. Sustained by trust.

TOSS was founded on 19 March 2009 in Trichy to cultivate social responsibility and turn empathy into disciplined social action. What began as a youth initiative has grown into a statewide network with continuity, credibility, and visible field impact.

Mission

Mobilize youth, institutions, and communities to improve inclusion, education, and social responsibility through meaningful local initiatives.

Vision

Build an India where vulnerable communities receive sustained, respectful support and every citizen participates in progress.

Organisation Story

Why TOSS exists and why communities keep returning to it

TOSS is a network of students and young professionals from across Tamil Nadu. The organisation was shaped around a simple belief: social change becomes durable only when ordinary people, especially young people, are trained to care, organize, and keep showing up.

Over time, TOSS developed a campaign-based model that allows volunteers to work within clear structures rather than isolated bursts of goodwill. This makes the organisation more dependable for institutions, families, civic partners, and recurring supporters.

How We Work

The operating model behind the public face of TOSS

TOSS is strongest when it acts as a system: campaign planning, volunteer allocation, event execution, partner coordination, and follow-up all work together.

01

Campaign selection

The team focuses on issues where youth-led participation can create real local change: inclusion, environment, civic awareness, education, and relief.

02

Volunteer activation

Students and members are assigned meaningful roles in planning, communications, logistics, field support, and event management.

03

Institutional collaboration

Schools, colleges, civic groups, and welfare associations join through defined scopes and practical responsibilities.
